what you need
- 1 lb. ground beef or ground chuck
- 1 can (8 oz.) sauerkraut, shredded (do not drain)
- 1 can (12 oz.) pork & beans, regular not seasoned
- 1 can (12 oz.) tomato sauce or alternative can be tomato soup
- 6 hot dog wieners, sliced in circles
- 1 heaping Tablespoon prepared mustard
- White loaf bread, 1 slice per serving

Brown meat in a large pot, drain & return to pot.
Add sauerkraut and stir fry a minute with beef, and then add all remaining ingredients except the bread.
Simmer (covered) for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spread (desired amount) over a slice of white bread and enjoy!
Notes
This is a family recipe and the original calls for tomato soup, but my family does not care for the soup so I use tomato sauce.
Taste even better the next day after it has set overnight in the refrigerator and can be frozen for a later date.
If unable to locate a small can of sauerkraut, use half of a 12 oz. can juice included and freeze remainder.
