what you need
- 3 cups vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons seasoning salt
- 6 bone-in pork chops (1/2" thick)
make it
Put oil in cast iron pan and heat until about 325 degrees F.
Pour buttermilk in shallow bowl then flour and seasoning salt into a resealable (gallon size works best) bag. Dip pork chops in buttermilk to coat then put into bag and shake to coat.
Put chops in oil. Be easy, don't want to be splashed with hot oil. Fry about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Once out of oil, put on paper to absorb extra oil. Sprinkle with a little extra seasoning. Enjoy!!
Notes
This recipe is not for people watching their weight. It is pretty heavy. I am from South Carolina... we love to eat...not real healthy...just to eat.
