what you need
- 1/2 lb. hamburger meat (use less for a less meaty and more spicy dip, also use lean meat for a healthier option)
- 1 tsp. onion powder (add more for a stronger onion flavor if desired)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (add more for a stronger garlic flavor if desired)
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 box (32 oz.) Velveeta Cheese (use light for healthier option)
- 2 cans diced Ro*Tel
make it
1. Cook hamburger meat. Add onion powder, garlic powder, and garlic salt when meat is still reddish in color.
2. Chop cheese into cubes and put in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes then stir and repeat until cheese is melted.
3. Mix Ro*Tel, cheese and hamburger meat.
4. Serve warm.
Notes
This recipe can be refrigerated and reheated a few times, but do not let sit at room temperature too long because cheese will begin to harden (reheating for a minute or two and stirring will fix hardened cheese).
