- 1 onion, diced
- 1/2 green pepper, diced
- 4-6 portobello mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small stalk celery, diced
- 1 can Italian stewed tomatoes, diced
- Garlic to taste
- Italian Seasoning to taste
- 1/3 bottle Italian dressing
- 1/3 - 1/2 bottle chili sauce
make it
Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain & cool thoroughly.
Chop all vegetables and put in a large bowl; add cold spaghetti, garlic and Italian seasoning. Toss well. Add Italian dressing and chili sauce; mix well.
Refrigerate/marinate 8-24 hours, tossing occasionally. Add additional dressing and chili sauce as needed to achieve desired flavor.
Notes
The longer this marinates, the better it is.
Can add other vegetables (zucchini, cucumber, etc).
Goes well as a side dish for meatloaf, steak & chicken.
Is very good for summer time main dish. Add leftover meat to make a heartier main dish.
