what you need
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- Salt & pepper
- Mashed potatoes (boxed or fresh)
- 1 1/2 cups Kraft Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cans corn, drained
- Topping onion rings - optional

Brown beef with onions and use whatever seasonings you like. Salt and pepper to taste. While meat is browning, start making the potatoes.
Drain beef. Put meat in casserole dish. Lightly sprinkle small handful of cheddar cheese. Spread can of cream of mushroom soup, spreading evenly over meat and cheese. Next spread corn evenly, another handful of cheese, mashed potatoes on next, and sprinkle cheese to cover. Top with onion rings or just with cheese.
Bake uncovered for 40 minutes at 350°F till golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes or so. Serve with rolls or bread of choice.
Notes
Mashed potatoes should be enough to cover top of casserole dish. This dish can be made in a large or small dish, depending on how many you're serving.
Can be made ahead of time to bake later. Takes 40 minutes to prepare as long as potatoes are being made at the same time you’re browning the meat.
