what you need
- Cake:
- 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix (the darker the better)
- 1 pkg. Jell-O Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup rum
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- TOPPING:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 stick margarine (not butter)
- 1/4 cup rum
- 1/4 cup water
make it
Grease and flour bundt pan. Cover bottom with chopped pecans. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Mix all cake ingredients and bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
Just before cake is done, bring topping to boil and pour hot topping on immediately after cake comes from oven. Let stand in pan 30 minutes before inverting on cake plate.

This keeps perfectly in freezer.
