what you need
- 1 lb. round steak, cut into pieces
- 2 cans chopped tomatoes (with or without seasoning)
- 2 large cans Le Sueur peas
- 2 cans sliced carrots
- 2 cans green beans
- 2 cans sweet corn
- 2 cans diced potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
make it
Set your crock-pot on high. Drain all the vegetables except tomatoes and peas (the juice from the Le Sueur peas is the best part).
Place meat chunks on the bottom of crock-pot. Then pour one can of tomatoes, then a can of peas, then the other can of tomatoes. After you've added the final can of tomatoes make alternate layers of the other ingredients until you fill the crock-pot.
Put the lid in place and let it cook for 6 hours. Once finished cooking, open up, stir and check the meat and salt and pepper to taste and enjoy.
Notes
If you're preparing before work, you can reduce crock-pot heat to low and cook for 8 hours.
Le Sueur Peas come in two sizes, use the largest. The cans also have a metallic silver wrapper and they say Le Sueur on the front and have a picture of peas.
