what you need
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese
- 3 sticks (3/4 lb.) butter
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 3 cups flour
make it
Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Make sure all ingredients are room temperature.
Cream together cream cheese and butter. Add sugar and beat about 2 minutes or until fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time and mix well with each addition. Add vanilla and mix well. Slowly add flour and mix until all flour is mixed in well.
Spoon into greased and floured tube pan and bake approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes and then turn out onto cake plate.
Notes
I make this cake often when strawberries are in season and serve sliced pound cake, strawberries and Cool Whip. It is one of my family's favorites.
