what you need
- 2 sticks Land O Lakes Butter, 1 of which needs to be cut up
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, diced
- 1 diced carrot
- 3 cups College Inn Chicken Stalk
- 3 cups Jolly Green Giant Corn, or fresh
- 1/2 cup regular flour
- 2 cups Garelick Half and Half
make it
Melt one stick of butter in large pot. Add onion, garlic, and carrot. Mix until onions are tender.
Meanwhile in another pot heat the chicken stalk and corn. When the onion is tender, add flour. Continue to stir the onion and flour mix, it thickens quickly.
When chicken and corn is heated, add it to the onion mix. Once together, in a small pot heat the half and half. When that is warm add that to the chowder.
To top it off add the second stick of butter pieces, a few at a time. Stir until butter disappears. Serve.
Notes
You can add any veggies you wish. We tried potatoes and green beans. In the amounts of onion and garlic, you can add however much you wish. We used 1/2 of a large white onion and 2 cloves of garlic.
