what you need
- 1 container (24 oz.) cottage cheese
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
- 1 small jar salsa
- 1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 2 cups finely shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 pkg. tortilla chips or dipping corn chips
make it
1. First put cottage cheese and cream cheese in a bowl and mix (may need to let the cream cheese sit out for 15 minutes to soften).
2. Next add the taco seasoning mix to cottage cheese/cream cheese mixture and stir.
3. Spread mixture on bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan.
4. Spread salsa on top of cottage cheese/cream cheese/taco seasoning mixture.
5. Shred 1 1/2 cups lettuce and layer on top of mixture.
6. Next dice 1 cup tomatoes up and sprinkle on top of lettuce.
7. Generously top with cheddar cheese and refrigerate for 3-4 hours before serving.
8. Serve with tortilla chips or corn chips and enjoy!

*using hot salsa and hot taco seasoning mix makes the dip spicier
