what you need
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 - 2 jars prepared shrimp cocktail *
- 1 sprig parsley (optional)
- 1/4 lb. tiny fresh shrimp (optional)
- Small Crackers
make it
1. Leave cream cheese (wrapped) out on the counter to soften while you shower.
2. Just before serving, unwrap cream cheese and place in the center of a nice, flat plate.
3. Open the shrimp cocktail and pour over the block of cream cheese. After pouring the shrimp cocktail, make sure a few shrimp stay on top so it looks pretty! Use 1 or 2 jars of shrimp cocktail, depending on your budget.
4. Put crackers in a small basket or on a tray next to the shrimp. Place a small knife (not a kitchen knife!) on the plate for spreading dip.
5. If this girl is special, garnish with parsley, otherwise, parsley is optional.
8. Add 1/4 lb. fresh shrimp if this girl is THE ONE!

* Usually found in small glass decorative containers in the meat department. ASK if you need help!
This was the first recipe I gave to each of my two sons when they moved out on their own. It still remains a favorite in their own families.
