German Chocolate Upside Cake

what you need
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 stick margarine, melted
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 box powdered sugar
make it
Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9x13x2 pan.
Sprinkle chopped pecans and coconut in bottom of pan.
Mix German chocolate cake mix according to box directions. Pour cake batter over pecans and coconut.
Blend margarine, sugar and cream cheese. Gently smooth over cake mix. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
Notes
Use margarine as directed, Do Not Use Butter!!!
Also, sometimes this cake cooks over, so I always put a cookie sheet on the lower rack of the oven to catch the spills.
This cake is very rich, so I only make it as a very special Christmas dessert.
I gave this recipe to a friend of mine and she made it without the coconut and she liked it better.
