what you need
- 2 large limes
- 1 cup virgin olive oil
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup honey
- Salt & Pepper
- Chicken seasoning
make it
1) Roll fresh limes with hands on a table top. Push really hard on the limes, then cut limes in halves.
2) In a plastic bag pour olive oil, pour honey and squeeze limes into bag (get as much juice as you can from the fresh limes)-than shake bag well!
3) Prepare chicken (remove extra fat, wash well, and paper towel dry)
4) Put chicken in plastic bag for fifteen to twenty minutes (do not leave the chicken in bag too long because the acid in the lime actually starts to cook the chicken)
5) Remove chicken and season with "chicken seasoning" I just buy the store bought "chicken seasonings" in the containers.
6) Place chicken on grill, cook evenly on medium heat until done (flames should not touch chicken).
7) Remove from heat and enjoy.
Notes
Lime is put on food for a wonderful flavor as well as to keep away bugs during a BBQ.
For extra flavor (not that it will need it) you can add cheese, salsa, and even a slice of avocado over chicken breasts
The olive oil makes the cooked chicken a golden color, the honey & lime gives it a sweet/sour taste. The chicken seasoning just gives it the extra kick you need for flavor.
