what you need
- 1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef, browned and drained
- 2 packets taco seasoning
- 1 small can kidney beans, drained (optional)
- Iceberg lettuce, cut up in bite size pieces
- 2 large tomatoes, diced
- 1 bottle (8 oz.) Kraft Catalina Salad Dressing
- 1 box (12 count) hard taco shells, broken up
- 1 cup Kraft Fancy Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 bottle taco sauce
- Sour cream (optional)

In a large pot brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain. Add taco seasoning and kidney beans. Follow instructions on taco seasoning packet.
During the last 8 minutes of cooking time, cut up the lettuce and tomatoes. Set aside. Add Catalina dressing and broken taco shells to meat mixture and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes on low temp. Add 1/2 cup of cheese. Mix well.
Remove pot from heat. Place some lettuce on a dinner plates. Top with meat mixture, tomatoes, remaining cheese, taco sauce, and sour cream.
Notes
We like to have this meal on Friday nights while watching T.V. or a movie. It's become the family night for us. Hope you like it.
