what you need
- 4 boneless pork chops of your choice cut (butterfly etc.)
- 4 - 6 medium to large potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 can milk
make it
Place boneless pork chops in a deep casserole dish (9x13). Peel and slice potatoes as if you were going to fry them and place a layer on top of the pork chops. Continue with layering the pork chops and potatoes, salting and peppering in between layers
Mix cream of mushroom soup with 1/2 can of milk then pour over pork chop and potato.
Bake covered at 375 degrees F for 45 minutes to 1 hour until potatoes are tender.
Notes
My mother used to make this dish for us 7 children. It was a great fall recipe and easy to make, it works real well in the slow cooker too!
You can brown the pork chops before placing them in the oven if you prefer.
