Easiest and Best Banana Split Pie "Ever"

what you need
- 1 tub (16 oz.) Cool Whip, divided
- 1 can strawberry pie filling
- 3 firm and ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 can (10 oz.) crushed pineapple, well drained
- Chocolate syrup
- Maraschino cherries (with stems)
- Chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 - 8" or 9" graham cracker crust
make it
1. In a large bowl, fold together half of the Cool Whip (reserve the other half for topping), strawberry pie filling, bananas and crushed pineapple.
2. Spoon half of the mixture into the graham cracker crust. Lightly drizzle chocolate syrup over filling, then spoon on remaining filling. If desired, lightly drizzle chocolate syrup over this layer. Spoon on reserved half of Cool Whip, either in dollops or cover top completely. Cover and refrigerate till ready to serve.
3. When ready to serve, sprinkle with nuts and top with one or more maraschino cherries.
Optional: Drizzle top with chocolate syrup before sprinkling on nuts and adding maraschino cherries.

You just gotta try it! If you love banana splits, you'll love this pie. It has all the ingredients that a real banana split has, except the ice cream, but it tastes just like the real thing. It has become my family and friends' favorite dessert.
