what you need
- Prepare pastry for 8" pie (double crust)
- Filling:
- 4 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup water
- 1 package (.08 oz.) JELL-O Sugar Free Cook and Serve Pudding and Pie Filling (be sure it is cook and serve and not instant)
- 1 tsp. cinnamon (more or less depending on taste you want)
make it
Line pie plate. Mix together apples, water, pudding mix and cinnamon. Place filling in pastry.
Dampen edges of lower crust with cold water and cover with remaining crust. Cut slits in top crust to let steam escape.
Bake preheated 350 degrees F oven for approximately 45 minutes or until crust is light brown and flaky.

I have given this recipe to so many people and they have thanked me over and over. I found this recipe in a brochure several years ago that had been put out by the Wisconsin Apple Association.
