what you need
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine (NOT margarine spread sticks)
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 oz. or 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 2 bars (6 oz. each) BAKER'S Premium White Chocolate
- 1 jar (7 oz.) JET-PUFFED Marshmallow Creme
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts
make it
In 4-Qt. microwaveable bowl, microwave butter on MEDIUM for 1 1/2 min., or until it's completely melted. Add sugar and milk, mix well. Microwave for 5 min., or until mixture boils, stirring after 3 min. Stir well, scraping sides of bowl and stirring back into mixture. Return to microwave for 5 more minutes, again stirring after 3 min. Remove from microwave, stir vigorously til smooth. Let stand 2 minutes.
Add in white chocolate and marshmallow creme. Stir well until mixed. Add in vanilla, stirring till smooth and shiny.
Spread the 1 cup of chopped walnuts on the bottom of a 13 x 9 pan. Carefully pour the hot fudge mixture onto the walnuts, trying not to move them. Using a spatula, smooth the fudge into the corners of the pan and evening out the mixture.
Let cool for 2 hours, turn out onto cookie sheet. (At this time, you can gently press any loose nuts into the fudge.) Cool 2 hours more. Cut into (40) squares with a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
Notes
The original Fantasy Fudge has been a favorite of my family for years! This is one of their favorite variations.
