what you need
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 3 Tbsp. bottled teriyaki marinade
- 1/4 cup finely chopped water chestnuts (about 8 whole water chestnuts)
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. teriyaki marinade
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 small red bell pepper, cut into rings
make it
1. Mix ground beef, 3 Tbsp. of teriyaki marinade, water chestnuts, black pepper, onion and garlic. Shape mixture into 4 patties about 1/4-inch thick.
2. Cover and grill patties 4 to 5 inches from medium coals 14 to 16 minutes for medium doneness, turning once and brushing with 2 tablespoons teriyaki marinade. Serve on hamburger buns, and top with bell pepper rings.
Notes
You may also serve grilled pineapple rings on top of the patties if so desired.
