what you need
- 13 ice cream sandwiches
- 2 jars (12 oz. each) fudge
- 30 Oreos, crushed, divided
- 1 tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 tub (8 oz.) Chocolate Cool Whip, thawed
make it
Use a 9x13-inch cake pan and line with the ice cream sandwiches. Then take a layer of fudge and smooth over sandwiches. Then take 10 Oreos (crushed) and sprinkle over fudge and freeze for one hour.
Take regular Cool Whip and spread over ingredients and freeze for one hour. Add second layer of fudge and the other 10 (crushed) Oreos and freeze for one hour.
Finally, take Chocolate Cool Whip and add the top layer. Use the remaining 10 Oreos (crushed) and sprinkled over the top. Freeze for 2 hours or until desired state of frozenness.
Notes
This works best if you make it the night before the event. This way you can take your time and really freeze the layers. The more frozen your cake is the better received it will be.
There are many variations to this. I have done a turtle, mint chocolate and the Oreo. Mix it up! Depending on your size slices, you will get 12 to 24 pieces from this cake. Enjoy!
