what you need
- 2 to 3 cups tin roof sundae, chocolate chunk, or vanilla ice cream
- 4 soft-style oatmeal or chocolate chip cookies, crumbled
- 2/3 cup hot fudge ice cream topping and/or strawberry preserves
- 2 small bananas, halved lengthwise and cut into 1-to-2-inch slices
- 1/2 cup whipped cream
make it
1. In a medium bowl stir in ice cream with a wooden spoon to soften.
2. To assemble, in 6-to-8 inch parfait glasses layer in order: cookie crumbs, softened ice cream, and hot fudge topping, layering ingredients almost to tops of glasses.
3. Top each trifle with banana slices, whipped cream, and additional hot fudge topping. Serve immediately or cover and freeze up to one hour.
Notes
This is a great dessert after a meal. My children love this dessert !
