- 1 package fudge brownie mix (plus ingredients to prepare brownies)
- 1 1/2 cup chopped mixed nuts, divided
- 1 bar (four ounce) Baker’s Bitter-Sweet Chocolate
- 2 cups water
- 1 jar (12 ounce) hot fudge ice cream topping
- 1/2 teaspoon double strength vanilla
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 8 ounces Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 tub thawed Cool Whip Whipped Topping
- 1 additional teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup caramel ice cream topping
- 1 cup each diced red and green apples
make it
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray bottom of a cast iron, or otherwise a deep skillet with canola vegetable spray. Prepare brownies according to package directions add 1/2 cup of the nuts, and spread in bottom of skillet. Grate the Baker’s Chocolate over brownie mix.
Place water and hot fudge in microwave until melted and whisk until well blended. Stir in vanilla (sauce will be very thin) and pour over brownie batter.
Bake 35-40 minutes until sauce is bubbling at edges. Top of brownie will appear saucy but will cool as it thickens. Mix the powered sugar, cream cheese, additional vanilla and whipped topping and spread over cooled brownie. Top with the caramel, apples and additional nuts!!!
