what you need
- 1-2 Tbsp. A.1. Steak Sauce (2 good shakes)
- 1-2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce (2 good shakes)
- Dash of salt and pepper
- Dash of seasoning salt
- 1/2 cup of chopped green peppers
- 1/2 cup of chopped onions
- 1 tsp celery salt
- 1 lb. ground beef (or turkey)
- 1/2 bag of Kraft shredded cheese
- 3-6 slices of bacon
- 2-3 cups BBQ sauce
make it
Mix the A.1., Worcestershire sauce, salt & pepper, seasoning salt, peppers, onions and celery salt with meat.
Lay flat on counter, almost to a circular shape. Spread cheese in center of meat. Roll up and place in loaf pan.
Cook at 350 for 40-45 minutes. Place bacon strips on top on loaf. Continue cooking until bacon is cooked and crispy (approx 30 min.). Drain grease.
Spread favorite BBQ sauce on top of bacon. Broil for 5-10 min. or until crispy. Let cool before serving.
Notes
I like using ground turkey instead of beef because it's healthier and tastes the same. Colby shredded cheese works the best, but Colby Jack or cheddar would work too. Any of the amounts can be changed based on preference. That's what makes this recipe fun!
