what you need
- 1 1/2 lb. green beans
- 6 to 8 potatoes (any kind)
- 2 oz. olive oil (preferably extra virgin)
- 4 garlic cloves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup chopped up parsley - save 3 Tbsp. for garnish
- 2 oz. Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese add to the hot vegetables as you serve the dish (optional garnish for a cheese flavor)
make it
Clean green beans and then cut each one in half. Blanch in boiling water for about 5 minutes. Peel and cut potatoes and pre-cook in boiling water 6 to 8 minutes. Drain vegetables in a strainer.
In a large fry pan, heat olive oil. Add chopped up garlic cloves. Once garlic is just starting to cook add potatoes. Once potatoes are getting a bit crispy and almost cooked add green beans, salt and pepper to taste. Add parsley except 3 Tbsp.
Once all are cooked serve on a large platter or casserole dish and sprinkle with remaining parsley. Optional: garnish of Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese to be added at this time. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Depending on the potatoes, some will take less time or more time to cook in the fry pan. If you like crispy then cook them to your own liking.
Optional: You can leave the potato skin on for more flavor and vitamins.
