what you need
- 1 lg. or 2 sm. ripe avocado(es)
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1/4 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder (or to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste (pinch of each or more)
- 1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lime (or lemon) juice
- 1 med. tomato (of 4-5 grape or cherry tomatoes)
- 1 pkg. tortilla chip
make it
Cut avocado(es) in half, remove pit, scoop pulp from shell into medium bowl.
Mash pulp with fork along with onion, garlic, chili powder, salt, pepper, and lime juice.
Garnish with chopped, seeded tomato(es). Serve immediately with tortilla chips.
Notes
The new Flour Tortilla Chips taste VERY good with this dip.
To store leftovers, place in small bowl and tightly cover with plastic wrap, placing wrap directly on top of dip with as few air bubbles as possible. Over time the surface of the dip will turn dark green to almost black when left open to the air.
