- 2 shallots, peeled and trimmed
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh mint
- 1/4 cup rum
- 1 Tbsp. freshly grated lime zest
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 3 Tbsp. honey
- 2 Tbsp. canola oil
- 1 Tbsp. kosher salt

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and process until shallots are finely chopped.
Marinade is sufficient for 1 to 2 pounds of protein.
