what you need
- 4 to 5 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 pkg. (18 1/4 oz) chocolate cake mix
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling, reserve 1 tablespoon
- 1 carton (8 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed
make it
Sprinkle marshmallows in a greased 13x9" baking pan. Prepare cake batter according to package directions. Pour over marshmallows. Spoon pie filling over batter.
Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool.
Frost with whipped topping. Take reserved 1 tablespoon of pie filling and place in center of frosted cake. Store in refrigerator.
