Brown Butter Gnocchi with Mushrooms in Parmesan Sauce

what you need
- 1 1/2 lb. frozen potato gnocchi
- 1/3 cup flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg
- 1 cup Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 3 Tbsp. butter, divided
- 2 large or approx. 10 small portabella mushrooms
make it
1. Fill a large pot with water and put to boil. Add gnocchi and boil until they rise to the top (approx 7-10 minutes).
2. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, whisk flour to remove any lumps.
3. Gradually add 1 cup milk, whisking until smooth.
4. Add remaining milk and the nutmeg.
5. Whisk over medium heat until thickened and comes to a boil, about 4 minutes.
5. Remove from heat and stir in parmesan cheese and 1 Tbsp. butter.
6. In a large skillet, heat 2 Tbsp. butter until brown. Add mushrooms and gnocchi.
7. Heat gnocchi until lightly golden brown.
8. Add sauce.
Notes
This is a very hearty meal. Add some of your favorite vegetables to make it even better!
Leftovers can be baked in a baking dish with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese on top!
