what you need
- 1/2 cup frozen or fresh fruit (peaches, berries and mango work well)
- 3/4 cup vanilla low-fat yogurt
- 1 cup soy milk (I use low fat soy milk - 1 cup = 80 calories)
- 6 almonds
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 1/2 cup ice (optional)
make it
Peel the fruit, if using fresh fruit and appropriate and cut into pieces.
Put all ingredients into a blender and puree them together until smooth.
Pour into a chilled glass and serve. Add 1/2 cup of ice if you want to serve it really cold.
Notes
To make a thicker smoothie, use frozen fruit and add the ice.
