what you need
- 1 package (11.6 oz.) Tyson “Southern Style” Breaded Chicken Breast Tenderloins (or any breaded chicken that you might like to use)
- Spinach linguine (how much you’d like to have)
- 1 can (10-3/4 oz.) Campbell’s 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup 2% fat milk
- 6 ounces Kraft Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
- 1 jar (4.5 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
make it
Cook tenders in oven according to instructions on the package. Bring 1 quart of water to a boil for the pasta, and cook linguini until tender; drain.
Use a whisk to mix cream of mushroom soup and milk in a 1 qt saucepan and slowly heat. Don’t allow mixture to boil. Add grated cheddar cheese to soup mixture and continue to heat and stir. Add sliced mushrooms. Allow mixture to remain on low heat.
Place scoops of cooked, drained pasta on plates, place chicken tenders next to that and cover all with hot mushroom soup mixture.
Notes
This recipe is for two main dish servings…increase as needed for additional servings.
I usually serve a sliced tomato salad with this and sometimes warm bread.
Our friends all love this because it's creamy smooth but with the wonderful bite from the sharp cheese.
