what you need
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3 ounce Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
make it
Cream butter and cream cheese; gradually add sugar. Beat in egg yolk and vanilla. Blend in flour.
Knead dough with hands until pliable. I divide dough into bowls and use a little food coloring to make what colors I want for the shapes I'll use with the Spritz Maker (I use the old fashioned nonelectric one). Before baking, decorate cookies with a little colored sugar.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.
Notes
I use Air Bake Cookie Sheets. If you make thinner designs maybe less time, thicker almost the whole 12 minutes depends on your oven.
