what you need
- 3 lb. hamburger (or more if you like it meaty)
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- Salt and pepper
- 2 large cans diced tomatoes with garlic seasoning
- 1 large can whole stewed tomatoes
- 2 large cans tomato paste
- 2 large jars chunky salsa (as hot as you prefer, I use one mild jar and one medium to give a little spice but not too much.)
- Garlic salt
- Chili powder
- Brown sugar
- 2 large cans red kidney beans
- 2 bags Frito scoops
- 1 large bag Kraft Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
make it
Brown hamburger in large skillet with garlic add dash of salt and pepper. Drain hamburger and pour into large stockpot.
Add All cans of tomatoes, including paste and salsa. Let this stew for about an hour on medium heat stirring occasionally. Add some garlic salt and chili powder to suit your taste along with a little brown sugar. Drain one can kidney beans and pour in, pour all contents of second one in. Let simmer for 20 min.
We always serve it over Fritos scoops and shredded cheese.
Notes
This is a good meal for a football party, or just a family get together!!
You can also cut the ingredients down and do it in the crock-pot which is also VERY good!!
