what you need
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce with meat
- 1 pkg. egg roll wrappers
- Vegetable oil for frying
make it
Mix cream cheese and spaghetti sauce together, mixing well. This must be refrigerated until chilled and firm.
Make wontons: place chilled filling in the center of egg roll wrapper turning wrapper until pointed edge is pointing towards you. Wrap bottom edge over filling to cover it, fold in sides, one at a time, roll from the bottom up, sealing all loose ends with water. Place on lightly oiled large cookie sheet. Finish rolling all wrappers until filling is used up.
In a deep skillet, fill with vegetable oil about 2" deep. Heat oil on medium high heat. Fry each wonton until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
Notes
The filling mixture can also be used for a dip or spread.
