what you need
- 1 stick butter
- 3 to 4 cups whole milk
- 1 giant loaf bread, toasted and broken into small pieces
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. Bells Poultry Seasoning
- 1 tsp. each salt & pepper
make it
Melt butter in milk. Set aside.
Mix remaining ingredients together.
Gradually add the milk/butter mixture till you get the desired consistency.
Notes
Clean cavity and rub with a little salt. Stuff chicken or turkey just before roasting. Cook any leftover dressing a greased ovenproof bowl in a pan with a little water in it. This may also be used to stuff pork chops mixed with a can of crabmeat (use ½ recipe) and put into mushroom caps. Enjoy!
