what you need
- 12 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 large white onion, diced
- 1 serrano or jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
- Cilantro to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
- 1 can (7 3/4 oz.) El Pato Brand Tomato Sauce
make it
Put all ingredients into a blender and blend on "Chop" mode for just a couple seconds to make sure it is blended but NOT puréed.
Pour into a serving bowl or jar and refrigerate until ready to use.
Notes
This is a healthy and delicious salsa recipe given to me by my son's grandmother who is from Mexico. It is the perfect salsa for all your Mexican dishes or as a dip for chips or veggies.
