what you need
- 1 can (14-16 oz) prepared cranberry sauce
- 1/2 cup whole cranberries FROZEN
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (or pistachios are also very good)
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
make it
Using a food processor: spoon out cranberry sauce from can. Add whole frozen cranberries, nuts, and lemon juice.
Blend on low speed for mixture to mix... open lid and stir. Repeat. Then blend on higher speed until texture reaches desired constancy. I prefer to have small chunks of nuts and berries.
Refrigerate immediately until time to serve.
Notes
If you prefer to have a smoother texture, simply place nuts in first and grind them, then place in cranberries and blend together until texture is achieved. Then combine the rest of the items.
