Grandma Lulas' Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

what you need
- 1 cup raisins
- 2 sticks real butter
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar +1/4 cup Splenda brown sugar.
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup reg flour+ 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 cup liquid off steamed raisins
- 2 cups oatmeal
make it
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Put raisins in microwavable dish. Cover with 1 cup of water. Cook on high for 3 min. Cool and save 3/4 cup for the liquid. Discard the rest.
Cream butter with brown sugar and eggs and beat well. Mix together in another bowl; the flours, cinnamon, allspice, salt, cloves, and baking soda. Add dry ingredients slowly to shortening and egg mixture. Add liquid alternately with dry ingredients. Mix in oatmeal and raisins.
Drop on greased cookie sheet and bake for 9 min on center rack in oven.
Notes
They are great right out of the freezer and into microwave for a few seconds.
