- 1 (2.5 lb.) pork shoulder roast
- 1 bottle (14 oz.) BBQ sauce
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 1 med onion, chopped
- 8 hamburger buns or hard rolls
make it
Place pork roast in 4.5 qt crock-pot. Cover; cook on LOW 10-12 hrs or HIGH 5-6 hrs.
Remove pork roast from stoneware and discard any liquid; shred pork with two forks; return pork to stoneware. Add BBQ sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, and onion; mix well.
Cook on LOW 2 hours or HIGH 1 hour. Serve on rolls.
Notes
Top each serving with a slice of American cheese.
Substitute 4 boneless chicken breasts and lower cooking time to 6-8 hours for LOW.
