make it
DOUGH
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in remaining dough ingredients. Stir vigorously, about 20 strokes. Allow dough to rest while you prepare the sauce.
SAUCE
Gently cook onions until transparent. Add the rest of the ingredients.
Prepare pizza pan by rubbing shortening (not oil) on the bottom of the pan. Take half of the dough and center it on the pan. Gently, with your finger tips start in the center and stretch the dough to the outside of the pan until covered and a little ridge on the edge. (You may have to flour your fingers to do this.) Put sauce on top and the topping.
Place on lower shelf in the 400 degrees F oven. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and bottom of the dough is crispy. If your oven is too hot you can put the pizza on the top shelf to cook the topping.
Notes
You may add anything you like to this pizza...if you are making a large pizza just use the entire mixture of pizza dough.
Remember if you are going to add a lot of items on the top be sure to have the dough on the ticker side.
