what you need
- 2 cups broccoli florets (or other similar vegetable)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. oil (or pork grease)
- 4 boneless pork chops
- Garlic powder, oregano & basil for seasoning
- 12 oz. pork gravy (homemade or jar)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup French fried onions
make it
In a large skillet, cook broccoli and onions in oil until tender. Remove and set aside.
Use the same skillet to brown the pork chops on both sides. During browning, season both sides of the pork chops with 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried basil. Add the gravy and broccoli & onion mix to the skillet and cover. Let entire contents simmer for 12 to 15 minutes.
Mix in sour cream and heat through. Remove from heat and top each pork chop with a portion of the French fried onions and serve.
Notes
This recipe is a good way to use up leftover items you may have sitting around since it only takes a small portion of several of the items needed.
