what you need
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 sticks butter
- 4 heaping Tbsp. cocoa or Baker's Chocolate Squares
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Hot Fudge Icing:
- 1 stick butter
- 6 Tbsp. milk
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 box powder sugar
- Chopped pecans (optional)

Sift flour, sugar and salt. Place dry ingredients in a large bowl and set aside. In heavy sauce pan, bring to boil the butter, cocoa or Baker's Chocolate Squares and water. Bring to a soft boil. Take off stove and pour into dry ingredients. Mix well with a large spoon. Then add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, and vanilla.
Pour into a greased and floured sheet pan 15"x10". Bake 18-20 min at 400 degrees F. Remove from oven.
Five minutes before brownies are done, make Icing. Bring to soft boil butter, cocoa, and milk. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and pecans. Stir in powdered sugar. Add this hot icing over the hot brownies. Cool.
