what you need
- 2 cups milk
- 1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
- 2 cups Cool Whip
- 3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
- 18-20 ladyfingers, split half lengthwise
- 1/2 cup strong coffee
- 1 Tbsp. baking cocoa
make it
In bowl mix milk and pudding. Let set. Fold in Cool Whip and powdered sugar.
Arrange half ladyfingers in 8x8 brownie pan or square casserole dish. Drizzle with 1/4 cup coffee over ladyfingers. Spread half pudding over top and repeat layers. Spread remain cup Cool Whip over top into thin layer and sprinkle with cocoa powder.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
I usually double recipe for large family gatherings.
I like to use chilled evaporated milk. I measure can milk then add regular as necessary to equal 2 cups. I think it makes the dessert a little richer tasting.
