what you need
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup onions
- 1 can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 envelope Sloppy Joe seasoning
- 1 tube biscuits
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/3 cup cornmeal
- Shredded cheese any flavor, divided
make it
Brown meat & onion together & drain. Add corn, tomato sauce, water and seasoning, Cover and cook over medium heat till bubbling. Reduce heat & simmer for 5 min.
Flatten biscuits to 3 1/2-inch circles. Dip both sides in milk then in cornmeal. Place seven around the sides of a 9-inch ungreased pie pan and three on the bottom. Press the sides together to form a crust. Sprinkle bottom with cheese and add meat mixture.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 20-25 minutes. Cook till crust is golden brown. Sprinkle top with cheese, let melt & serve.
Notes
My husband likes to add salsa to his. I like sour cream and my 14yr old daughter will eat it however she can get it.
