what you need
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup chopped red onions
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup Kraft Pepper Jack Cheese Shredded
- 1 Tbsp. chopped jalapenos
- 1 Tbsp. safflower oil
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Whole Wheat Buns
make it
Put turkey in mixing bowl; add eggs, chopped onions, spinach, panko bread crumbs, cayenne pepper, shredded cheese and jalapenos; mix well. Make patties and set aside.
Heat safflower oil on medium in large skillet; add burgers flip when golden on one side.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Pour leftover oil and drippings from skillet into 9 inch baking pan. Add turkey burgers and then chicken broth. Cook until all chicken broth has been absorbed or core temperature of burgers reaches 160°F. When done cooking take burgers out of oven and serve on whole wheat buns.
Notes
I like mine really spicy so I tend to put more jalapenos on top of my burger as well!
