what you need
- 1.5 lb. ground beef (I use, not to exceed 22%)
- 1 egg
- 1 small yellow onion, minced
- 1 green bell pepper, minced
- 1 piece bread, break into little pieces without the ends of the bread
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup carrot, minced
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic salt with parsley
- 1 tsp. basil
- Additional ketchup (for glaze)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix all the ingredients into a large bowl (except ketchup to glaze meatloaf).
Shape the meat as a loaf in a small glass deep oven dish. Cover dish with foil.
Cook for a 1hr 15min at 350 degrees F. Remove from oven and drain out any excess grease. Then glaze meatloaf with ketchup. Then place uncovered meatloaf into the oven for 15 min. Let cool and serve.
