what you need
- 1 pound chicken, pork, or beef, cubed or crumbled
- Appropriate Seasonings
- 1 cup of your favorite canned or frozen vegetables
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups Minute Rice
make it
Brown meat with appropriate seasonings. Be sure meat is done through.
Add vegetables. Add water (note: if there is a lot of liquid in the pan, reduce the amount of water) and heat to boiling.
Stir in Minute Rice, cover and reduce heat to low. Cook 5 minutes and serve.
Notes
Appropriate Seasonings:
This can be seasoned any way you like. Italian seasonings with winter vegetables for Italian; Taco seasoning and corn for Mexican; stir fry veggies with soy sauce and a few drops of sesame oil for Asian. Be creative!
This serves two in my house. Add an additional half pound of meat and 1 cup of rice and water per hungry person.
