Baked Chicken on Rice

what you need
  • Butter
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 soup can full of milk
  • 1 cup raw rice
  • 1 frying chicken, seasoned
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
make it
Butter 13 x 9 baking dish.

Mix soups, milk, and rice in dish. Lay chicken on top. Sprinkle onion soup mix over all. Cover tightly with foil.

Bake 2 hours in 325 degrees F oven.
Notes
My mom made this recipe a lot for potluck dinners at church. It was always a hit!

Rated  by blondie1001 on 5/15/2005 This is very easy. I like that you can use all chicken parts. Flavor was excellent. I have made this several times. The second time I increased rice to 1 1/2 cups. It made the rice thicker. This is definitely on my "in a rush" recipe file.
