Mince Pie

what you need
  • 1 jar mincemeat
  • 1 tart apple, grated
  • 1 jigger brandy or rum or 1/2 jigger of each
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 recipe plain pastry for double crust pie (You can use prepared pastry if desired)
  • Cool Whip
make it
Add apple, brandy/rum and lemon juice to the mincemeat and mix well.

Place pastry in a nine inch pie dish, add mincemeat and cover with pastry top. Cut two to three slits in top of pie.

Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes until golden brown. Serve while warm. Cover with Cool Whip.
May be made early and heated just before serving.
