Makes: 12-16 servings Total Time: 1 hr
Category: Desserts Sub Category: Pies

what you need
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2-3 cups pecan halves, divided
  • 2 - 9 inch unbaked pastry shells
make it
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat eggs thoroughly with sugar, salt, corn syrup and butter. Stir in 2 1/2 cups pecans.

Pour into the pastry shells. Place remaining pecans on top of pie.

Bake approximately 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center of filling comes out clean. Cool and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
I got this recipe off a postcard while vacationing in Florida. I tripled the pecans to make this extra nutty (Isn't Pecan Pie supposed to be about Pecans?!?).

Every family gathering, I'm asked to bring my Nutty Pecan Pie. It's so easy and a hit with everyone who has tried it.
