what you need
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef or turkey
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 6 oz. spaghetti noodles
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups cheese
make it
Brown meat and drain. Add onion and garlic. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste and seasonings. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.

Cook spaghetti noodles; drain. Mix in butter, parmesan cheese and eggs. Line a greased 10" pie plate with spaghetti to form a crust. Spoon cottage cheese over crust. Top with meat sauce and mozzarella cheese.

Bake at 325 degrees F for 45 minutes.
Notes
The pasta forms a great crust that you fill with ground beef, eggs and cheese. Consider it a meal in one.
